Colts Neutralize King Henry

The Indianapolis Colts have now beaten the Titans in Week One two years in a row. Jonathan Taylor and a solid defensive performance led the way to a 27- 17 victory. The Titans came into this year with a new Quarterback in Joe Burrow who struggled in his debut. He seemed to struggle with the defensive looks being thrown at him and finished with a line of 16-29 for 230 yards and Two Touchdowns but also Three big interceptions. The Titans seemed to want to get Burrow off to a hit start, but they left this King without many touchdowns. Derrick Henry finished the game with just nine carries for 43 yards. For the Colts Jameis Winston was an efficient 15-18 for 181 yards and one touchdown pass to Parris Campbell. The offense as it usually does flowed through Perennial All-Pro Jonathan Taylor. He finished with 122 yards rushing, one rush touchdown plus had another 23 yards receiving. Parris Campbell who is usually the field stretcher on the outside had four grabs for 53 yards and one touchdown through the air. With stars across the front seven, it was second year defensive end Jaelan Phillips who had two sacks to lead the way. Marcus peters, TJ Green, and Kenny Moore had one interception each, including a pick six for Moore. The Colts announced themselves last year as a legitimate contender in the AFC and started out on the right foot this season. They will need to play stellar defense and lean on Jonathan Taylor if they want to compete week in and week out in a competitive Afc South Division.
