Tua Tagovailoa Named AFC QB of the Year

Tua Tagovailoa had a remarkable sophomore season in season 2 of PML. However, it wasn’t quite enough to lead his team into the playoffs. That can mostly be blamed on his slow start to the season.

Going into season 2 the Dolphins made sure to get their young QB as many weapons they could. With the offense being more run game centric in season 1, this time around Tua had to adjust to being the main focus of the Dolphins offensive approach.

After starting the season off with a dud of a game throwing 6 interceptions, Tua refocused and locked in for the rest of the year.

Tua Tagovailoa finished with the following in season 2:
409 – 549 for 75% 2nd overall
5265 passing yards 3rd overall
50 passing touchdowns 2nd overall
108 Quarterback Rating 7th overall

He had 10 games where he threw for over 300 yards, and 3 of those 10 he threw for over 400 yards. Tua also had 6 games where he threw 4 or more touchdown passes.

For his efforts in season 2 Tua Tagovailoa was awared AFC QB of the Year.
