Mid-Season Acquisition Update(Bears Edition)

The first trade receiving a player in Coach Noble’s tenure as the HC for the Chicago Bears was a big one! The Bears acquired All-Pro corner turned safety Patrick Peterson, this move was made after giving up an alarming 46 points per game. This made Coach Noble furious and made him give up a premier interior o-lineman in James Daniels. The Bears made this move knowing they have a young mauler in Tommy Kraemer. Here’s what Coach Noble thinks of the former All-Pro player.

“He makes everyone job here easier top to bottom, he has taken pressure off of Kyle Fuller and and Jaylon Johnson and their production has increased tremendously. We hate to James Daniels go, but we wish him nothing but the best in Arizona.”

Since the trade the bears have given up a respectable 14 point per game and it is largely thanks to Pat Pete. Not only has he held his own against premier receivers such as Amari Cooper, Davante Adams, and Juju Smith-Schuster. He has elevated the play of the whole defense racking up 13 interceptions in the past 3 games.

Pate Pete’s stats through 3 games are 12 tackles, two pass deflections, and two interceptions. He has been nothing short of exceptional for these Chicago Bears and we hope that father time does not catch him soon. Next week he goes up against his former team looking for revenge as they demoted him to backup safety.
