Colts stumble again

The Colts who were hoping to improve to 3-2 and keep pace in a competitive division fell to the Jaguars 31-17 last night. It was a game that came with some controversy late, but the story of the game was the Colts inability to stop the run. Indy has made a massive shift from last year to this year by being a more balanced team and yet saw another opponent rush 36 times to just 14 pass attempts. The Jags wr core managed just 3 catches all game as stud rookie running back Travis Etienne led the way and played like he had crisco rubbed on his jersey as he broke tackle after tackle. Trevor Laurence also looked to escape the pocket on crucial third downs and finished with 8 rush attempts. Colts offensive attack was bottled up and when they had chances Jameis Winston once again missed the mark. The perfect example for this was when his team needed him most on a third down while down a score Winston missed a wide open Parris Campbell streaking down the sideline. The Colts were outplayed on all three phases of football yesterday and heading into a bye week couldn’t come at a better time. They will need to regroup and get hot quickly if they hope to keep themselves alive in the Afc south. We’ve also heard some rumblings about trade rumors, so stay tuned to see if the Indy looks to add a piece or two to stay relevant in the Afc.
