It was all but inevitable with 3 weeks to go. But with Week 17 coming to end in a game where Michael Carter got 3 carries and Lamar Jackson showed up in his sweats for the game. The Baltimore Ravens are AFC North Champs and will look to their match-up in the Wild Card round.
The season many thought would take a turn for the worse when Carter and Jackson went down with injuries that sidelined both for 7 weeks but it was Adrian Martinez and surprise rookie RB Charles McClelland that stepped up in their absence. McClelland finished his surprise rookie year with 744 yards and 6 TD’s. Martinez was no slouch either in Jackson’s absence throwing for 1,362 yards and 15 TD’s. Lamar Jackson now healthy is riding a hot steak entering the playoffs throwing for a Perfect passer rating three times in as many weeks leading up to Week 17. Carter only playing in 9 games did not slow down his production rushing for 1,622 and 16 TD’s. The Ravens will look to continue to rely on the “BIG 3” (Jackson, Carter, Marquise Brown) to make a push in this years playoffs.
