LOLB Curtis Weaver- Weaver, drafted with the 32nd pick in the 1st round was selected to sure up a line backing core that was severely underwhelming last season. Weaver has had a mixed bag of the season so far, playing in most games. He was drafted with the mindset that he would rush the passer, possibly competing for defensive rookie of the year given his power moves and block shedding. His stat line for this year so far is, 4 solo tackles,3 assists, 2 tackles for loss, and interception. This isn’t the production that the Colts staff are looking for and he will be expected to produce in upcoming games. He is progressing, however, not at the rate the Colts expected. This season the progression is okay with the veteran presence that the team has, however, next season he will be the starter on the defensive line and will be expected to make an impact.
